Wood Line – Three Elements
Three Elements is a handcrafted wall clock that brings together three distinctly different types of wood — oak, wenge and bubinga — in one geometric composition.
The light, natural character of oak contrasts with the deep, almost black tones of wenge and the warm reddish-brown color of bubinga. Each wood brings its own distinctive grain, texture and character to the piece.
The Story Behind Three Elements
This design was created around the combination of three woods, geometry and light.
Oak, wenge and bubinga form a rhythmic composition built on contrast. Dark wenge dominates the center, while lighter oak and richly colored bubinga shape the surrounding pattern. Between the wooden sections, colorful elements interact with the light, changing their appearance depending on the viewing angle.
The wood and colorful elements are encapsulated in transparent resin, creating a unified surface with remarkable depth and a glossy finish. The mirrored Plexiglas hour markers are mounted on top of the resin surface, reflecting light and the surrounding environment while adding a contemporary finishing touch.
The unusual geometric shape further separates Three Elements from a traditional round wall clock.
Three Elements is more than a way to measure time. It is a piece of functional art where three completely different woods become part of one composition.
